Developing
Educational Standards
In existence since 1995, the maintainers of this site have the goal
to index "as much information about educational standards and
curriculum frameworks from all sources (national, state, local, and
other) as can be found on the Internet." The information is
categorized into subjects and is also listed by States.
Descriptions of documents from significant organizations and
governmental bodies are listed and hypertext links are
provided.
National Center on
Educational Outcomes (NCEO)
This Center's mission is to provide "national leadership in the
participation of students with disabilities in national and state
assessments, standards-setting efforts, and graduation
requirements." The website includes a wide variety of documents,
reports and directories to assist in accomplishing the group's
goals.
Standards for
Success
This was a three-year project of the Association of American
Universities and the Pew Charitable Trusts. Its goals were to 1)
Identify what students need to know and be able to do in order to
succeed in entry-level university courses. The knowledges and
skills have been published in Understanding University
Success and distributed to high schools throughout the country;
and 2) Produce a database of information on state
high school assessments, to improve the connection between the
content of high school tests and the standards for university
success.
