King from specimens furnished from the Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University. Photographed by W.H. Walmsley. Images accompanied by a list of 4 leaves of the sections prepared by Professor C.S. Sargent of Harvard University. Also includes a letter and circular from J.D. King specifying that “The numbers prefixed to species correspond to those used in the Report upon the forests of the Unites States, vol. IX, Tenth census.
