Scope Note

Fair copy of Statius' unfinished epic on the life of Achilles, describing how young Achilles' mother hid him on the island of Seyros, disguised as a girl (to prevent his participation in the Trojan War), and how he was found by Ulysses and Diomede.

Includes red and blue Lombardic capitals. The scribe is named as Iohannes de Sancto Quirichio, and may have been connected with the San Quirico family of Verona.
