| Abstract: | Wendy Olmsted (1943 - ) is Professor Emerita at The University of Chicago in the New Collegiate Division and the Humanities Division. The collection primarily contains teaching documents, manuscript drafts, and university administrative materials. |
This collection is open for research with the exception of Box 3 which contains material to which access is restricted. Box 3 contains financial, faculty appointment, and personnel materials that are restricted for 50 years from the record's date of creation. Box 3 also contains letters of recommendation and student evaluative materials that are restricted for 80 years from the record's date of creation.

Wendy Olmsted (1943 - ) is Professor Emerita at The University of Chicago in the New Collegiate Division and the Humanities Division. Olmsted received her bachelor’s degree from Bryn Mawr College in 1965, her master’s degree from The University of Chicago Committee on General Studies in the Humanities in 1966, and a PhD from The University of Chicago Committee on Social Thought in 1974. She joined the faculty in 1974. Over the course of her career at the University, Olmsted served as Master of the New Collegiate Division, and was affiliated with the Committee on Ideas and Methods, the Committee on the Ancient Mediterranean World, and the Department of Classics. Her scholarship focused on rhetoric.
The collection primarily contains teaching documents such as lectures and exams, manuscript drafts, and university administrative materials.
