encoded edition has been provided by the Oxford Text
Archive (OTA). The electronic version does not include the
front matter (including a new introduction by Peter W.M. Blayney),
commendatory verses, facsimile pages, and graphics from the print

The PhiloLogic implementation of The First Folio of Shakespeare is based on automatic conversion of the SGML-encoded documents provided by the Oxford Text Archive. The database has 840,000 words, 42,000 unique forms, in 36 works, listed in the online Bibliography.
Although this site is not restricted, there are conditions of use. These texts are freely available for non-commercial use provided that the headers are included in their entirety with any copy distributed (original headers).
