Title: Art Reading Room Attendant
Hour per Week: 8-16
This position is available only to University of Chicago students.
Responsibilities:
- Shelving and shelf maintenance
- Supervision of room use only materials
- Answering basic questions about library services and collections
- Assisting patrons with the scanner, slide scanning, and image manipulation software
- Bibliographic searching in Western European Languages
- Collection maintenance projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- Dependability
- Detailed-oriented
- Good communication skills
- Knowledge of circulation and shelving proceedures preferred
- Background and Experience in Art History, particularly the art of east Asia, is desirable but not essential
