How to Request Materials
for Use in Our Reading Room

Requesting SCRC Items During Catalog Transition

The University of Chicago Library will be implementing a new catalog beginning July 25 through early August. Although we do not anticipate disruptions to service in Special Collections, we may experience delays in requesting or retrieving materials during the transition period. If you plan to visit Special Collections during this period, please contact us as soon as possible to discuss your visit.

Please note: The Robert M. Hutchins Personal Papers will be closed to research until September 29, 2014, to allow this collection to be processed.  If you have any questions about accessing the collection, please contact us.

All requests for Special Collections materials to be consulted in our reading room are made through our electronic request system. If you would like to order copies, or have a question about our materials, please use our online form.
