The online catalog does not provide access to the contents of journals.
To find articles on a specific topic you will need to use an indexing
and abstracting resource, like Biological Abstracts. In some cases,
a link to the full text of the article will be available within the
database. Most of the time, once you have found a citation, you will
need to check the library
catalog to see if we own the journal the article is published in.

on the Internet It is the most extensive international database
of searchable information on the environment, toxicity, and cancer.

Entrez is a search and retrieval system that integrates information
from databases at NCBI. These databases include nucleotide sequences,
protein sequences, macromolecular structures, whole genomes, and
MEDLINE, through PubMed. Includes: PubMed, Nucleotides, Proteins,
Structures, Genomes, PopSet, Taxonomy, & OMIM - Online Mendalian
Inheritance in Man.

Provides access to reaction and compound information. Equivalent to the print Current Chemical Reactions and Index Chemicus. Covers 1985-current for reactions and 1994-current for compounds. Supplemented by a file of "classical" reactions from mid-1800's to late 1990's. Text and structure searchable. Requires a plugin for structure/reaction searching. Printed copies of the Current Chemical Reactions are available in the Chemistry Library at QD1.C92. Printed copies for the current two years of Index Chemicus are available unbound in the Chemistry Library. |

file as well as Medline and OldMedline. Print edition of

client software download to desktop computer, and network
address within .uchicago.edu domain (no proxy server access at
