Each tourist generally has three Bedouin Arabs to assist him: two to pull and one to push. It requires about thirty minutes to reach the top, an occasional rest being necessary. When on the platform of 32 ft. square on the summit a fine view is to be had of Cairo, the Nile, Memphis, the Pyramids of Sakkara, the mud villiage [sic] of Ghizeh, and the Libyan and Sahara Deserts.
