The Database provides access to DOE publicly available citations from 1948 through the present, with continued growth through regular updates.

National Technical Information Service (NTIS) makes available the latest research sponsored by the United States and select foreign governments. Subject coverage in the NTIS Database includes: agriculture, biotechnology, business, communication, energy, engineering, environment, health and safety, medicine, research and development, science, space, technology, and transportation; most records include abstracts. The complete file dates back to 1964, with approximately 100,000 new records added annually. The full database is not available for searching, but this home page lists a great deal of information about the organization, publications and services from NTIS. The printed version of the NTIS Database is the Government Reports Announcements and Index (with some minor title/call number changes in the past, but all are shelved together) and is shelved in the Crerar Reference Collection at Z7913 .G731 and spans from 1946 to 1996.
The Rand Corporation is a private non-profit organization which publishes information on public policy issues, including topics relating to science and technology. Most of the Rand Reports are located in The Joseph Regenstein Library in the general stacks at AS36 .R24 -- consult the online catalog for specific information. A printed copy of the Rand Abstracts can be located in the Regenstein Library General Reference Collection at AS36 .R253.
