As the Slavic and East European Studies Librarian, Megan Browndorf supports the reference, research, and teaching needs of the University of Chicago community in relation to the countries, languages, and cultures of Russia, Central & Eastern Europe, and Central Asia. As part of this work she manages the Library’s collections for these regions, offers individual and group consultations for researchers, and provides library instruction on resources and research practice. Additionally, she serves as the curator for the Archive of Czechs and Slovaks Abroad.

Education

Megan holds an MA in Russian and East European Studies and an MLS from Indiana University. She earned her BA in Russian Area Studies and Russian Language & Literature from Dickinson College.
