Mamlūk Studies Review, Vol. XXVI (2023) now available on Knowledge@UChicago

The twenty-sixth volume of Mamlūk Studies Review, an open access journal devoted to the study of the Mamluk Sultanate of Egypt and Syria (648–922/1250–1517), is now available on Knowledge@UChicago, the digital institutional repository for the University of Chicago.

The latest issue contains articles on Mamluk diplomatic relations with Aragon, Armenia, and the Aqquyunlus of Tabriz; portrayals of Mamluk Alexandria in contemporary Venetian art; and discussions of natural philosophy and politics in the Mamluk Sultanate. The issue also contains reviews of several important recent publications.
