The selections in this exhibition from the private collection of Raymond Epstein were intended to present a range of our country's books and literature that have been read and loved by its people. However, it does not include many authors one might expect to find. Recognizing that the choices would be provocative, the organizers hoped the exhibition would stimulate viewers to read, reread, and make their own lists of favorites.
