Cecilia Smith Headshot

Cecilia works with scholars and students to integrate digital methods into a broad range of academic projects. She directs the Center for Digital Scholarship and coordinates services across the library to support work with data, scholarly publishing, dissertation submission, digital collections, and research reproducibility.

Projects & Service

Cecilia is PI on the Mapping UChicago Project and the GIS Librarians for Open Workflows Project (GLOW), and co-PI on the Guerrilla Television Project. Cecilia served as a member of the BTAA Geospatial Data Task Force, serving on the Steering Committee and as Chair of the Communication Committee. She was also co-convener of the ACRL Digital Scholarship Section's Numeric and Geospatial Data Services Discussion Group, and supported the US Covid Atlas as a member of the Coalition Design & Communications Team.
