Bookstacks browsing and entry to study without reservations begin August 2

On August 2, these services are reopening for University of Chicago faculty, OAAs, students, and staff.

• Open browsing and checkouts: Bookstacks in Regenstein, Crerar, and Eckhart are open for browsing. No appointments are necessary. Available options for checkout include self-checkout machines and the Checkout UChicago app.
• Entry to study and work without reservations: No reservations are required to enter Regenstein, Mansueto, Crerar, and Eckhart to use study seats and the dedicated Zoom space on Regenstein’s Fourth Floor.
• Locker rental and access to lockers are available.

August 2 also marks the discontinuation of HathiTrust ETAS; however, the Library’s ongoing commitment to providing electronic resources continues. The Library Catalog includes links to over 3 million electronic titles, including books, journals, databases and other media.
