D'Angelo Law Library Computing

The Library has seven computer workstations in the John P. Wilson Reading Room on the second floor for accessing the Library Catalog, licensed databases, and other computer resources. To use one of the Library's computers, you must log in with your CNet ID. Users without an active CNet ID may use the computers with a temporary login. See the Library's Computer Services page for more information. Printing is available to the Library's printers for thirteen cents per page using a UChicago card, Campus Card, or vended card obtained from the Reserve Room across from the Circulation Desk.

Researchers needing to search only the Library Catalog may use the designated computer on the west side of the Wilson Reading Room.

For more information about using computers in other campus libraries, see the Library's Computing Services page.

For information on wireless access for visiting researchers, see the Library's page on Visitor Access to the University's Wireless Network and the Library's Licensed Online Resources.

Law School Computing

The Law School manages computers on the fourth, fifth, and sixth floors that require a Law School login. Questions about logging into these computers should be directed to the IT help desk on the third floor.

The Law School also provides a dedicated video conference system for Law School student use in Room 514. Students must follow these instructions to make their request.

Most carrels and reading tables in the library are furnished with Ethernet jacks for law students to use laptop computers to access the Internet. Questions about connecting laptops to the network should be directed to the IT help desk on the third floor or by telephone at 702-4493. The Law School has a wireless network which is available in the second floor Wilson Reading Room and at study tables and carrels on the upper floors. To access the wireless network, you must log in with your CNet ID.

Law students are given a $195 print credit for each academic year. Students can access their print account from the web while using the Law School wired or Wi-Fi network. CHICAGOLAW credentials are used to gain access to the web interface at: https://www.law.uchicago.edu/printaccount. Law school wired printers are available on the second, fourth, fifth, and sixth floors.

Additional information for Law School faculty and students is available on the Law School's Information Technology page.
