Permission to Publish

Request form for permission to reproduce or publish material for which the University of Chicago is copyright holder

NOTE: The Library grants permission to reproduce or publish materials from the Special Collections Research Center only when the University of Chicago is the copyright holder in the material. Limited quotations from materials that fall within the fair use guidelines of the United States Copyright law do not require permission from the Library.

• Requests may take up to two weeks to be processed. The response will include the form of citation to be used.
• Do you already have a copy of the of the material you wish to publish? If not, please contact us to place a publication-quality scan request.
