About the Exhibit

exhibit was curated by Kate MacCord and Jane Maienschein of Arizona State
University and the MBL History Project, and Karl Matlin, Department of Surgery
and Committee on Conceptual and Historical Studies of Science at the University
of Chicago, with the cooperation and assistance of Jennifer Hart, Crerar
Library of Science at the University of Chicago. The curators wish to thank the
staff of the MBL, the Special Collections staff at the University of Chicago
